But as this text shows, it’s the eter­nal strug­gle between the intrin­sic moti­va­tions dri­ving art prac­tices and the ​“small busi­ness” expec­ta­tions attached to self-employ­ment sta­tus that is root cause of their con­tin­u­al­ly pre­car­i­ous situation.
